Getting Started on P90x Again

Well after years of putting it off I am getting pack on P90x. I am sure my body will feel like trying to start a rusty chainsaw in the middle of a blizzard, but here it goes.

Tomorrow will be my first day on the system. I will be starting with shoulder and arms and I doubt I will get through the whole set. I should probably first complete Power 90 again to warm up to the P90x workout. I am sure if I keep to it I will start rolling strong.

body-manWell it is already spring and we wanted to celebrate spring with a new design to the website. I know there are many of you out there eager to get your beach body ready for the summer. So what are you waiting for? If you have already started your P90x journey congratulations. Starting can be the hardest part. If you haven’t yet started P90x I encourage you to get busy! If your body is not quite ready for the intensity of P90x you should start with Power 90.

The point is to get busy this spring so your body will be ready for the summer. I would like to remind anyone interested that you can follow my progress through the P90x system day by day. I would love to converse with any of you via the contact page or you can always follow bold body fitness on twitter. We can encourage and assist each other in achieving our fitness goals. Day 19 P90x

p90x-ehfWelcome back to those who are following me along my P90x journey. I also would like to welcome those that are new to Bold Body Fitness. If you are new to the P90x workout or you are just getting started with fitness and plan to do the Power 90 program we have some great resources here about both fitness systems. I worked on chest and back today. I was a bit slower than I would have liked. I was feeling it from a late night last night. While you are on the P90x system I would highly recommend you get enough sleep each and every night. I seem to drag a lot when I have a lack of sleep so I will have to take my own advice into account for my next workout.

Day 18 P90x

weights1Ah good old day 18. For those that have stuck along with me here at Bold Body Fitness I want to take a moment to thank you. I am glad you are here with me on my 18th day. Remember to subscribe to my feed burner feed if you haven’t already.

Before I jump into my day 18 workout I would like to go over what’s new here on Bold Body Fitness. I will be adding our twitter feed to the sidebar soon. This will allow you to easily follow my tweets. I will periodically be posting P90x results galleries to help motivate you all. I hope you will all enjoy these new posts. Another request we got was to display our twitter subscriber numbers and I am happy to announce this will be displayed in the same sidebar as the twitter feed. I will continue to let you know when new features are added to the blog.

Now on to my workout. I worked through shoulders and arms today. It was a great workout for me. I was a bit sluggish in some of my workouts last week so I wanted to do my best this week to make up for that. Well that’s it for today.

Bold Days Ahead

weightsHave you ever had those days where you feel full of energy, ready to hit your exercise routine hard? Then of course there are the days you wake up sluggish and fatigued. On those days you know your going to have a bad workout. Fortunately today was the day I could really go at my workout. I kept up with the P90x team relatively well, better than I usually do anyhow. I think in a another month or so I should be able to keep up with them. Although in all honesty it could take me longer to really keep up. I guess it doesn’t matter as long as I am building lean muscles and burning fat.

Anyhow just wanted to do a quick update to say I’m still on P90x and having a blast! Regular updates for those that are interested in my workouts will soon follow. I hope you will join me on my workout journey.

Day 17 P90x

shoulderandarmsHello there. For those wondering where the updates have been I do apologize. I was away for about a week or so and did not have access to the posting feature until I got back. Well the good news is that I am still steadily working through the P90x workouts and you will be able to continue following me along throughout my new posts. I hope you will all continue to check back here for all of my exciting P90x workout updates.

Now as I said above I was away from home for a week or so. I did not forget to bring the equipment I needed while I was gone. On my first day away from home I did the shoulders and arms rutine. I am really getting more comfortable with the new dumbbells I invested in. My shoulder gave me a bit of feedback, but I was able to have an all around solid workout while on the road.

Day 16 P90x

p90xabripperxWelcome back and welcome to my day 16 P90x workout. I worked through the Back and Biceps DVD. It was quite an intense workout I would have to say. I am trying to workout harder each time so that I can keep up decently enough with the gang.

As you know that is usually my goal. I would like to say however that you should go any your own pace when just starting with P90x. Eventually your body will be able to keep up with the others. All I would recommend is to make sure you give your body the time it needs to get to that point. There’s no rush in getting there, and all of our bodies are different.

Day 15 P90x

p90xchestandback2Well I am past the two week mark now. I can honestly say I am not as sore as I was during my first week. The exercises are becoming a bit easier to keep up with as well. I did expect this because this is how it went last time I was on P90x. If you stick to the program your body will begin to adapt. At least you hope so after that brutal first week anyway.

I worked through the Chest and Back DVD. I think I completed an overall good workout. I was able to keep up pretty good. I was also able to do almost all the reps. I am certainly getting better at keeping up with the group, but some DVDs I still have a hard time keeping up. I guess it depends on which one I am doing at the time.
